 Children Residence and Contact

Divorce and Family Law specialists John Rosley and Claire McLeod deal with many issues relating to children whether the parents are married to each other or not.We always abide by "Resolution" principles.

These include;

  • Residence – where the child should live, formerly better known as custody cases.
  • Contact – between child and parent, grandparent or other significant person including brothers and sisters.
  • "Parental alienation" sometimes referred to as "parental alienation syndrome"..."PAS"
  • Financial support of children including CSA assessments and enforcements.
  • International movement of children including permanent removal from the UK.
  • Child abduction and recovery including international child abduction.
  • Change of name.
  • Adoption.

 What we can do for you;

  • We can settle any arguments as to the residence of a child.
  • We can arrange and enforce contact between a child and any significant adult.
  • We can advise on CSA assessments and child maintenance generally.
  • We can obtain court orders for child maintenance and topups for school fees or special expenses.
  • We can assist to recover a child following an abduction including international abductions.
  • We can protect children from abuse including "Parental Alienation".
  • We can obtain court orders or negotiate settlements on any issue that the parents cannot agree between themselves.

"Parental Alienation" Cases / The "Parental Alienation Syndrome" ( PAS ) are particularly difficult situations for any parent to deal with. "Parental Alienation" occurs when one parent having the care of a child deliberately acts in a way calculated to alienate the child from the other parent. "Parental Alienation" sometimes referred to as the "parental alienation syndrome" is a problem far too complex to set out in any detail in this short summary.  There is a great deal of excellent literature freely available on Google and rather than give an inadequate short summary of "parental alienation" we refer you to the web site of Dr Ludwig Lowenstein.... www.parental-alienation.info/ -

 Read the literature, there are many publications now availableon on "Parental Alienation", then come back to us.  We have experience in dealing with "parental alienation" cases.
